Push Back on New York City's Attempt to Shelter Migrants Upstate

Counties north of New York City are moving to block attempts by the City to move migrants to hotels and shelters upstate.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams wants to move hundreds of migrants to counties outside the city. That prompted emergency declarations in those counties -- and others -- and a court blocked a hotel in Rockland County from accepting relocated migrants.

Governor Hochul questioned whether the county orders are legal, and says her staff is looking them over.
