New Report Says More Money is Needed for Thruway Maintenance

The nonprofit transportation research organization TRIP says in a new report that the Thruway will need more money to stay safe and well-maintained.

The report says the Thruway faces a $1.2 billion funding gap through 2031 for current levels of maintenance, support and debt service.

And the report says projected toll increases won't cover the gap, and would still be well below comparable toll highways.
