A 1-month-old baby is fighting for her life, after she and her father were hit by a truck after an apparent abduction.
Police say the girl's father grabbed her outside the House of Mercy at around noontime today and took off running, following an argument.
He then was hit by a box truck on Joseph Avenue near Ward Street, with the impact throwing the baby from his grasp.
The man then picked up the baby and continued running, before dropping her on Saint Paul Street.
He was taken into custody a short time later.
The baby is at Strong Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
