State Close to Allowing Liquor Sales on Sunday Mornings

The state may be close to allowing liquor stores to sell wine and liquor on Sunday mornings.

A source tells The Buffalo News the proposal is one of the 18 recommendations approved by the a commission created last year to look at possible changes to the liquor laws.

Another recommendation could allow one person to own more than one liquor store.

The full list is expected to be made public Monday.

The panel reportedly rejected a proposal to allow sales of wine and liquor in supermarkets.

To become law, the recommendations would need to be approved by the legislature and the governor.
