PAB Wants to Investigate Two Rochester Police Department Policies

Rochester's Police Accountability Board says it will launch oversight investigations into two Rochester Police Department policies.

The PAB says it will look into police use of pepper spray on juveniles, as well as their use of bean bag guns.

A big focus will be the 2021 handcuffing and pepper-spraying of a 9-year-old girl.

There's no word on when a report will be finished.

Meantime, the PAB is still down 3 members of its board, forcing it to cancel two meetings in the past month.

They're calling on City Council to call an emergency meeting to fill those positions, but that's not expected to happen.
