Governor Hochul Expected to Pass Another Budget Extender Today

Governor Hochul and state lawmakers are expected to pass another budget extender sometime today.

That'll ensure some 83,000 state workers get their paychecks on time while budget talks continue.

Hochul told reporters over the weekend the extender will be a "clean" one, avoiding a showdown with Legislative leaders that could lead to a government shutdown.

Bail reform, minimum wage, and affordable housing remain the sticking points.

The original budget deadline was back on April 1st.
