Hilton School District Resumes Classes Following Bomb Threats Last Week

It's back to class today for students in the Hilton school district, following the emailed bomb threats Wednesday and Friday last week.

The district implemented additional security measures over the weekend.

In a joint statement, the Monroe County Sheriff's Office and Greece Police they have not found any links between the emails and anyone locally wishing harm on the school.

And police say the threats have clearly been a hoax meant to cause panic.

The police say they fully support the district's authority to not allow the threats to disrupt the schools. And they say they are confident that the district is taking all reasonable and necessary steps to make sure students and staff feel safe.
