Woman Accused of Trying to Set Baby on Fire Takes Plea Deal

A Florida woman accused with her husband of trying to set their baby on fire last year in Seneca County has taken a plea deal.

Lisbeth Collado has pleaded guilty to an attempted assault charge.

Deputies say she and Jamie Avery Jr. doused their 1-year-old girl in lighter fluid and tried to ignite her last May at Love's truck Stop in Tyre, while their 3-year-old was found in a nearby trailer with a head injury.

Collado will be sentenced in May.

Avery withdrew his guilty plea to the same charge last month, and will instead stand trial on charges including attempted aggravated murder and arson.
