State of Emergency Declared for Much of the State East of Rochester

Governor Hochul has declared a state of emergency for much of the state east of Rochester.

The nor'easter is expected to bring heavy snow and high winds through tomorrow across Central New York, the Mohawk Valley, the North County and the Hudson Valley.

Counties in our area under the state of emergency include Ontario, Wayne, Cayuga and Yates.

Tandem- and empty trailers are banned on the Thruway east of Syracuse.

The State's Emergency Operations Center has been activated to coordinate the State's response

There are a few canceled flights today out of Rochester.
