Judge Rules for Developers in Brighton Whole Foods Case

A State Supreme Court Judge has cleared the way for the Whole Foods project in Brighton.

The judge ruled in favor of the Danielle Family, deciding the project is in compliance with variances granted by the town.

The plaintiffs had claimed project is too big and illegally encroached on an adjacent recreational trail, and sued to force a public referendum.

The plaintiffs were funded, in part, by Wegmans, which has its flagship store less than a half mile away on Monroe Avenue.
