UPDATE: The Boil Water Advisory for parts of Canandaigua and Hopewell has now been lifted.
It had been in effect since Wednesday, following a water main break.
That water main has now been fixed.
City officials say residents should flush faucets for 5 minutes before drinking.

City officials say a water main broke late yesterday morning, dropping the water pressure.
That water main has now been fixed.
The advisory will remain in effect until two bacterial tests come up negative.
