Seven Area Men Charged With Running An Illegal Gambling Ring

Seven area men are facing charges they ran an illegal sports book and held illegal poker games.

As first reported by the D&C, the sports betting operation was run on a website and the poker games were held at an office building on Blossom Road in Rochester.

The investigation began in October 2020 and involved a raid of a poker game in April 2021

Louis Ferrari II and Dominic Sprague, of Greece, and Tommaso Sessa, of Spencerport, are charged with operating an illegal gambling operation.

Four other men are charged with transmission of wagering information. All seven are charged with conspiracy, and Ferrari is also charged with money laundering.
