Man Responsible for Buffalo Supermarket Mass Shooting Sentenced Today

The man responsible for the mass shooting at a Buffalo supermarket will be sentenced today.

Payton Gendron killed ten Black people in a racist attack at the Tops supermarket last May.

Gendron pleaded guilty in November to 15 state counts, one of which carries an automatic life prison sentence without parole.

He's still facing federal hate crime charges, and is due in federal court tomorrow.

It's being termed a status hearing, and Gendron is still facing the death penalty, but his attorney has said Gendron would plead guilty to avoid it.
