Rochester Man Arrested for Firing a Gun and Crashing Into a Church

Rochester police say charges are pending for a man suspected of firing a gun, trying to flee police, then crashing into a church.

It happened yesterday in the Edgerton neighborhood.

Officers on another call in the area heard the gunfire on Glenwood Avenue and got a description of the shooter's SUV.

Marshalls and troopers spotted it moments later and tried to pull over the driver.

The driver, from Rochester, crashed into the church near the corner of Jones Park and Lake Avenue.

At least two guns were found in the vehicle.

The man is being treated for a minor injury
