Rochester police say close to 200 cars have been stolen in the city this month, and the vast majority are Hyundais and Kias.
Police say some of the suspected thieves have been arrested more than once.
And police say they are working with police in the suburbs to identify the main players.
Police blame the rise in thefts on videos on social media that show how easy it is to steal Kias and Hyundais.
