GM to Invest $68 Million in Rochester Plant

GM is announcing new investments in its Rochester Operations plant totaling $68 million.

GM Manufacturing Executive Director Doneen McDowell says the investments include $12 million to support production of small block V-8 gas engines.

She says truck and SUV dominance is a cornerstorne of GM's growth strategy.

Another $56 million investment at the plant will support battery cooling lines for electric vehicles.

As of last fall, the plant had 767 workers.
