Geneva police have made two arrests stemming from a violent argument January 7th at an address on North Genesee Street.

Police say convicted felon Jerry Lovett Jr. shot and critically wounded a 54-year-old man.

That's when a second felon, Erwin Wineglass, repeatedly stabbed Lovett.

Both men are charged with attempted murder.

Lovett is recovering at a medical facility.

The unnamed shooting victim is out of the hospital.

Wineglass was arrested with what police say was a large quantity of crack cocaine.
