Statewide Medical Staff Vaccine Mandate Struck Down By State Supreme Court

The state health department says it's "weighing its options," now that a judge has struck down the statewide medical staff vaccine mandate .

A state Supreme Court judge ruled the health commissioner was not allowed to make the mandate permanent without state Legislature approval.

A health department statement says it storngly disagrees with the ruling, saying the mandate helps protect vulnerablre residents from the virus.

That statement did not explicitly say whether they would appeal the ruling.
