The saga over Monroe County district maps is closer to the finish line.
Last night, the full county Legislature approved the map recommended by the District Revision Commission last week.
The vote was 27 to 2 in favor.
Leaders for both parties say the map provides six Black majority districts on the legislature.
A public hearing on the new map is set for next Thursday.
County Executive Adam Bello is expected to signoff on it after that hearing, bringing the nearly year-long process to a close
