Rochester City Council Approves PAB Reform

The Rochester City Council has approved three measures reforming the Police Accountability Board.

One bill mandates training requirements for the board members and staff.

Another extends a moratorium on spending and hiring through the end of the fiscal year in June.

And the third directs money in the PAB budget that isn't spent to other community needs.

All three measures passed 7 to 2.

Council President Miguel Melendez says he is committed to getting the PAB back on track. He also is proposing changes to the City Charter related to the PAB.
