New Law Expands Childcare Access for New Yorkers

Governor Hochul has signed a new law expanding childcare access for New Yorkers.

It will remove requirements for parents to work in order to access subsidized programs.

Advocates says it's a big help for parents who go to school or who are caregivers for other family members.

The initiative will be expanded in the coming years, with money approved in the state budget.
