Monroe County Legislature President Sabrina LaMar has proposed her own county redistricting map.
She says her so-called Crescent Map 2.0 will create 6 majority-Black districts, instead of the five created in the original Crescent Map.
County Executive Adam Bello vetoed the Crescent Map earlier this month.
LaMar had previously said she would sue the county to get 6 Black Majority districts under the federal Voting Rights Act.
In a statement, LaMar says she hopes to work with Bello and the Legislature to get her new map passed.
