The state Attorney General is filed suit against the owners of an Orleans County nursing home.

Letitia James says the owners of the Villages of Orleans in Albion pocketed government subsidies.

James says that money was supposed to go toward better care for its residents.

Instead, they suffered, even before the pandemic made things worse.

In all, James says the owners took $18 million in subsidies.

She's seeking to reclaim those funds, and put the home into a receivership.
