Charges Detailed Against CNY Man Accused of Raping Irondequoit Girl

UPDATE: We now know the charges against a Central New York man accused of raping a 13-year-old Irondequoit girl.

35-year-old Bernard Hammond the Third of Fulton faces rape, criminal sexual act, sex abuse, and endangering the welfare of a child.

Fulton police say Hammond meet with the girl over social media, picked her up from school, then forced her into sex repeatedly over a two-day period.

They found the girl at Hammond's home after getting a call from Irondequoit police.

Police in Fulton, about half an hour northwest of Syracuse, say they found the girl at the home of 35-year-old Bernard Hammond the Third.

They say Hammond arranged to meet with the girl over social media, picked her up from school, then forced her into sex repeatedly over a two-day period.
