State regulators Investigating RG&E Customer Complaints

State regulators reportedly are looking into customer complaints about RG&E.

News10NBC reports the state Public Service Commission has been flooded with complaints about bills and problems with customer service.

Complaints to the PSC hotline have tripled in the last six months over the same period last year.

PSC Consumer Advocate Richard Berkley tells the station his office could look at company systems and request tests of meters.

He acknowledged RG&E has had staffing shortages caused by COVID, but he says the company has duties it has agreed to perform.
