Staffers at Rochester's Police Accountability Board have announced their intent to form a union, and they're asking Mayor Malik Evans to voluntarily recognize it.
The organizing effort has the support of Rochester City Councilmember Stanley Martin.
She issued a statement last week supporting the 18 staffers who signed a letter calling on the board to replace acting manager Duwaine Bascoe, whom they accused of workplace hostility and mismanagement.
The board has a regular meeting this evening.
