Recreational Marijuana Businesses to Open in NY By the End of the Year

New York's first licensed recreational marijuana businesses are on track to open before the end of the year.

Governor Hochul reportedly confirmed that timeline in an interview with the Advance Media New York editorial board.

And she says roughly 20 dispensaries are expected to open each month.

The first licenses are going to New Yorkers with marijuana convictions. There were more than 900 applications for those licenses.
