Patients and Caregivers in New York Can Grow Their Own Medical Marijuana

Starting next month, registered patients and caregivers will be able to grow their own marijuana for medical use in New York state.

The state's Cannabis Control Board gave the OK yesterday.

However, there are some limits on how much can be grown. For individual use, it's three mature and three immature plants. The maximum amount of medical marijuana a grower can posses, at any one time, is five pounds. The new rules take effect October 5th.
