Rochester's Ibero-American Action League is coordinating local efforts to help people in Puerto Rico hit hard by the weekend hurricane.
The organization brought together local leaders and community groups at a meeting yesterday.
They are preparing for a possible exodus from the island, much like the one after a hurricane five years ago that brought nearly 5,000 people to our area.
They hope planning now will make it easy for evacuees to get the help they need quickly when they get here.
And they are accepting monetary donations.
