Monroe County Reports New Monkeypox Case

Monroe County has reported its 2nd new monkeypox case in the past 6 days.

The county had previously gone more than 3 weeks without one.

There have now been 9 total cases in the county so far.

Health officials say there's still no evidence of community spread, with Seneca County being the only other county in our area reporting a case.

There are over 3,300 cases of the virus statewide, with over 3,000 of those in New York City.
