An Orleans County woman is facing 10 animal cruelty charges for neglect of ten horses on her property in the town of Carlton.
Investigators from Lollypop Farm went there last month at the request of County Animal Control authorities.
The horses found in stalls packed with manure and old straw and insufficient water. Some had overgrown hooves.
Owner Elaine Bute has a court date next month. The horses are getting care at Lollypop Farm.
