The state court system is looking to hire more Spanish interpreters.
A court interpreter exam is being given on September 9th and 10th, and the deadline to submit an online application is this Thursday.
Interpreters convert words and concepts expressed in English into Spanish and vice versa -- in both the courtroom and other settings.
They may also perform clerical tasks related to language services.
