Missing RGH Nurse Found Dead

A nurse missing for the past 11 days has been found dead, according to a letter to staff from Rochester General Hospital officials this evening.

The letter confirmed the death of Keri Heine, who was last seen leaving her home in Greece on July 10th.

Greece Police Chief Michael Wood says in a statement that Heine's car was found near a business along Route 104 in Wayne County this morning.

New York State Police found a woman's body inside the vehicle.

They have not yet confirmed the body was Heine's, but say The Monroe County Medical Examiner's Office is conducting an autopsy to confirm her identity and manner of death.

There was no sign of foul play.

Hospital employees are gathering for a memorial vigil in her memory this evening outside RGH.
