Main St. Armory Cancels "Reawaken America Tour" Rally

The Main Street Armory has canceled the planned Reawaken America Tour rally planned for August 12 and 13.

That follows word late last week that a band booked at the Armory was canceling its show to protest the rally.

Owner Scott Donaldson says in a statement the Armory is a non-political venue.

The decision to cancel the rally, he says, came after an outpouring of concern from the community.

The Reawaken America Tour has featured conspiracy theories and right-wing speakers, including former Trump National Security Advisor Michael Flynn.

Pop band Japanese Breakfast announced last week it was canceling its September show at the Armory.

Local band Joywave said it would not return to the Armory if the rally took place.
