COVID Case Numbers Spike Across New York State

COVID case numbers are rising again across New York State.

The state reported more than 42-thousand additional cases for the week ending on Sunday. That's up from 36-thousand cases the week before.

The Omicron sub-variant BA.5 is blamed for outbreaks in New York City and on Long Island.

The BA.5 variant makes up at least one-third of cases nationwide.
