A Monroe County grand jury has handed up a murder indictment for Rakeem Lane, the Rochester man arrested last week for a deadly shooting in April.
Lane is accused of gunning down Javon Sampson across the street from Lane's clothing store on Chili Avenue.
Sampson was released from state prison in 2020 after serving time for a gun crime connected to a deadly shooting in 2014 on Lyell Avenue.
