Rochester police say a 16-year-old girl was killed and an 18-year-old girl was injured after a shooting Saturday night. Investigators say they were attending a birthday party at an Airbnb on Emerson Street. When police arrived they found Zahira Smith, 16, and the 18-year-old victim near the front door. Police say they were not the intended target. Police say the gunshots were fired from a vacant lot across the street. Police heard the gunshots, chased and apprehended 18-year-old Ameer Andrews. Andrews was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession of an Ammunition Feeding Device. He is scheduled to be arraigned in Rochester City Court on Monday.
