The Rochester teachers union says recent public comments by a school board member and a district official are disrespectful and demoralizing.
Union president Adam Urbanski says comments at a board meeting by Deputy Superintendent Kathleen Black were out of line.
Urbanski condemned board President Cynthia Elliott's statement using a vulgar word to suggest some teachers are doing a poor job.
Urbanski says the comments are demoralizing -- and part of what he calls a "constant barrage of disrespect and insults" toward teachers.
