The Manchester-Shortsville School Board is looking at bringing a school resource officer back to Red Jacket High School.
A 15-year-old student brought a loaded gun to school April 1, was disarmed by the principal and was arrested.
Parents at last night's school board meeting complained the school resource officer should never have been removed.
Others suggested private security could be provided instead of a sheriff's deputy.
The school also has added more cameras, new locks, and swipe card access for exterior doors.
