Deal Reached on New Buffalo Bills Stadium

Taxpayers across New York State and in Erie County will be asked to contribute $850 million toward a new Bills stadium.

The governor says in a statement that the public financing will include $600 million from the state and $250 million from Erie County.

The state's share will be included in the budget that is set to be approved by the end of the week, and Governor Hochul says the economic and tax impacts will more than cover the cost.

And the governor says the team is committed for 30 years to staying in Buffalo.

The NFL owners have approved a $200 million loan to the Bills owners.

The total price tag for the new stadium in Orchard Park is $1.4 billion.

It will have at least 60,000 seats and design work will start immediately.
