Governor Hochul has signed an executive order banning the state from doing business with Russia.
That includes canceling the state's investments there.
Hochul says this is in response to Russia's unprovoked attack on Ukraine.
She added New York is home to the largest Ukrainian population in the U.S and welcomes refugees to the state.
