Former Rochester Police Chief Settlement Details

We are learning the details of the legal settlement former Rochester Police Chief La'Ron Singletary reached with the city.

The city will pay Singletary $75,000 and restore health insurance benefits that were lost when he was fired in September 2020.

Singletary claimed in his lawsuit that then-Mayor Lovely Warren told him to lie during the investigation into the death of Daniel Prude.

The city says the settlement is not an admission of wrongdoing.

Singletary is now running for Congress against incumbent Democrat Joe Morelle.
