The Rochester City School District says its graduation rate is still trending higher.
Even with remote learning for much of last year, the four-year graduation rate last August was 71.4 percent.
That's more than three points better than the year before and the highest rate in more than a decade.
The dropout rate fell from 12.9 percent to 10.6 percent.
The statewide graduation rate last year rose more than a point to 86.1 percent, though it's possible the pandemic cancellations of most Regents exams made it easier for some students to graduate.
