A Woman Has Been Arrested for a Mailbox Explosion in Downtown Rochester

A woman has been arrested for an explosion last month in a downtown building.

Melissa Trenholm is accused of setting off an M-150 explosive in a cluster of mailboxes inside 7 North Clinton Avenue -- the building that houses Catholic Charities and other tenants.

Charging documents say the explosion may have been the result of a feud between Trenholm and a neighbor.

She's charged with damaging or destroying by means of an explosive any property used in or affecting interstate commerce.

She is now staying at her father's home in Hamlin and a search turned up more M-150 explosives
