Monroe County's COVID-19 death toll ticks up, but hospitalizations are dropping dramatically.
The health department reports 34 more deaths from January 19th through February 3rd, raising the number to 1,742.
However, there are less than 500 people in the Finger Lakes Region in the hospital for the first time in 2022.
499 people are in the hospital, 73 in intensive care.
Cases are also declining, with just 180 new cases confirmed.
The 7-day average is down to 404 cases per day.
