RCSD Test To Stay

The Rochester City School District is joining many other area districts that are already using a so-called ‘test to stay’ policy for unvaccinated students who are exposed to COVID.

Starting Monday, the students won't have to stay home if they test negative each morning. The students can attend class but can't take part in extracurricular activities for ten days.

The tests will be given weekday mornings from 6:15 until 9:30 at Wilson Foundation Academy. The district has not said how students will get there, then get to their own school.

The Rochester district cited staffing concerns for not adopting the program sooner.
