Batavia police have arrested a city man for a weekend fire at an apartment building.
Crews were called to Washington Towers Sunday after getting a report that a chair was on fire in a common area of the building.
They were able to quickly put out the flames. A short time later officers took 42-year-old Matthew Zakrzewski into custody.
He was arraigned yesterday on arson and other charges and sent to the Genesee County Jail.
