CDC has approved the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine booster for kids ages 12-to-15

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention or CDC has voted to approve the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine booster for children ages 12-to-15

Dr. Steven Schulz is the pediatrics director at Rochester Regional Health, and he says the extra protection of a booster shot is worth it for those kids.

Dr. Schulz says the booster reduces the chance of getting and spreading the virus, and if a child gets a breakthrough infection, it'll be less severe.
