The University of Rochester is moving classes online to start the new semester.

Classes and orientation programs will take place as scheduled but will be held virtually for the month of January.

Some medical school classes will still be held in person.

Students who haven't already returned to campus are being told to wait until in-person classes resume.

Meantime, two more area colleges, RIT and St. John Fisher, have ordered boosters for students and staff

The new semester at RIT starts Monday, and students are required to get a COVID test before returning.
