Alcohol To Go Sales Could Return

The COVID case surge has revived talk about bringing back sales of alcohol to-go at restaurants.

The sales were allowed during the first year of the pandemic, but legislation to extend them stalled this year in the state legislature.

Supporters say the biggest push back came from liquor stores.

Restaurant owner and New York State Restaurant Association Director Dominick Purnomo says now is the time to revive alcohol to-go. And he says the proposal has bipartisan support in the legislature.
